At approximately 9:35am this morning the Holtsville Fire Department responded to a call of a reported garage fire. Second Assistant Chief Wayne R Petry was first to arrive on scene and immediately transmitted a working fire. Crews quickly went to work to extinguish fire which had extended to an adjacent vehicle and the interior of the structure. Crews were assisted by members from the Farmingville, Holbrook, Medford,North Patchogue & Centereach Fire Departments as well as the Patchogue Ambulance Company. The homeowners suffered minor injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals. The Holtsville Fire Department wishes them a speedy recovery.
