Early this morning Holtsville Fire Department was requested to a structure fire within the Holbrook fire district. Holtsville firefighters responded to this brush fire on Palmer Ave today. Engine 6, Engine 5 and Engine 3 all operated hand lines to contain the fire from spreading to nearby houses. The Chief of Department, Second Assistant Chief and Holtsville EMS were also on the scene.
