At approximately 2:20 AM this morning, Holtsville Engine 3 responded as the RIT to this residential fire on South Bicycle Path in the Selden Fire District. Members operated for just over an hour before returning to service.

Just past 5:30 AM, Holtsville firefighters put tools in operation at the intersection of Waverly Ave and Express Drive North. Members extricated one patient with minor injuries from the vehicle. Holtsville EMS transported the patient to a local hospital.

At around 2:30pm this afternoon, Holtsville Ladder 7 responded to Skylark Drive, in the Holbrook Fire District, as the extra truck for a roof fire. Units operated for about one hour before becoming available. 📸: EmergencyPatches

Tonight at approximately 9pm, The Holtsville Fire Department responded to a compactor fire at DiCarlo Food Distributors on North Ocean Ave. Members operated for about 40 minutes before returning to service.

On Sunday May 1st, 2022 the Holtsville Fire Department hosted memorial services for Suffolk County Firefighters Association to honor all the members of service in Suffolk County that passed away in last year.

Today at approximately 10:00am, Holtsville Engine 3 responded to this working fire in the Lakeland Fire District on Baeck Street. Holtsville was assigned the RIT unit and operated for approximately an hour and a half before returning to service.

Holtsville firefighters handled this car fire on the Long Island Expressway last week. The Second Assistant Chief was the first to arrive, shortly after followed by Engine 5. Engine 3 and Holtsville EMS also assisted at the scene.
