Holtsville Fire Department

The Holtsville Fire Department takes time today and every day to remember those lost on September 11, 2001. We also remember those that are still being lost,day after day, from the lasting effects of this horrific attack on our country. May We Never Forget.

The Holtsville Fire Department operated at this working residential fire in the Medford Fire District this morning. Holtsville Ladder 7 responded to Fire Lane and was the first truck on scene. Ladder 7 assisted the Medford Fire Department with searches and overhaul. Members operated for about an hour before returning to service.

Early this morning around 4:30 AM, Holtsville Engine 3 was assigned as the RIT unit for a working residential fire on Gogel Street in the Holbrook Fire District. Last night just before 9:00 PM, The Holtsville Fire Department responded to this Motor Vehicle Accident accident on Express Drive South. As a result of the accident, one of the saddle tanks on the tractor trailer was ruptured and leaked approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway. At approximately 2:20 AM this morning, Holtsville Engine 3 responded as the RIT to this residential fire on South Bicycle Path in the Selden Fire District. Members operated for just over an hour before returning to service.

Just past 5:30 AM, Holtsville firefighters put tools in operation at the intersection of Waverly Ave and Express Drive North. Members extricated one patient with minor injuries from the vehicle. Holtsville EMS transported the patient to a local hospital.
