At approximately 4:45am, The Holtsville Fire Department was taking up from a reported structure fire in the Farmingville Fire District when the Selden Fire Department transmitted a working fire down the road. Engine 3 responded to Selden and was the first mutual aid department on scene. Holtsville was assigned FAST team responsibilities. Units operated for about an hour and a half.
