Shortly before the morning commute, The Holtsville Fire Department put tools to work at this vehicle accident at Waverly Ave and Express Drive North. Upon arrival, the occupant from the pickup truck was found ejected from the vehicle and the occupant from the van was found to be trapped. Holtsville EMS, along with the Farmingville Fire Department Chief of Department, provided life saving interventions to the ejected victim, while Rescue 4 went to work on the trapped victim. Both occupants were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries by Holtsville, and, Farmingville EMS. Members operated for about 1 hour.
