This Morning, members of the Holtsville Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Long Island Expressway. While operating, they were notified of an additional accident involving a Tractor Trailer. Rescue 4 arrived on scene to find a Jackknifed Tractor Trailer that had its saddle tank ruptured. Members worked to slow down the diesel fuel leak and contain the spill. Members operated for about 2 hours before the First Assistant Chief handed over the scene to the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshall’s office.
