At approximately 4:10pm, the Holtsville Fire Department was activated for an engine to standby to cover the Lakeland Fire District during a structure fire. While enroute, Holtsville Engine 3 was notified to redirect to the scene and responded as an extra engine. Holtsville members operated on scene for just over an hour.

Today at approximately 2:15pm, Holtsville firefighters were returning from a motor vehicle accident on Nicolls Road when a second alarm was received for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Express Drive South near Morris Ave. Engine 3 arrived first and began extricating the victim.
